Virtako
Product overview
is a type of insecticide that contains active ingredients from the group of “neonicotinoids” and “diamides” that act translaminar and will be absorbed throughout the tree through the xylem system systemically. It also acts by contact by blocking the feeding system of insect pests. It is effective in controlling sucking and chewing insects. Some insect pests have the potential to form a high level of resistance to the product after repeated treatments. The use of the product must follow a strategy that has been determined for use and spray area because the formation of pest resistance cannot be predicted. Syngenta encourages the use of “Stewardship” to ensure long-term effectiveness in pest control.
It is recommended to spray using a "window approach" to avoid continuous exposure to group 28 insecticides on generations of pests that have the same mode of action and to not use insecticides for more than 50% of the plant's life cycle.

Mixing Guide:
It is recommended to use a ball bearing sprayer or a motorized sprayer. Fill the tank half full with clean water. Mix enough according to the recommendations set out in the dosing table and mix with one liter of clean water in a separate container and stir until completely dissolved. Then put the mixture into the sprayer tank and add the remaining clean water required and stir. Do not use at a rate higher than recommended. Do not store the remaining mixture in the sprayer tank.
Spraying Guide:
Spray when infestation reaches action threshold level (ATL). For good control, spray thoroughly on both upper and lower leaf surfaces. If necessary, repeat spray at 14-day intervals for paddy crops. Do not apply more than 2 sprays per season. If treatment needs to be repeated, alternate with insecticides from different groups with different modes of action.
