Palystra
Product overview
is an insecticide containing two active ingredients, namely thiamethoxam from the neonicotinoid group and cyantraniliprole from the diamides group, which act by contact on the central nervous system of insects (“cental nervous system”) and stomach poisoning by blocking the feeding system of pests. The active ingredient thiamethoxam also acts systemically while the active ingredient cyantraniliprole shows little systemic properties. The active ingredient cyantraniliprole moves upwards for dicot plants while moving slightly downwards for monocot plants. It also provides broad spectrum control to control sucking and chewing pests in leafy and fruiting vegetable crops. Some pests have the potential to develop a high level of resistance to the product after repeated treatments. The use of the product must follow a strategy that has been determined for use and spray area because the development of pest resistance cannot be predicted. Syngenta encourages the use of “Stewardship” to ensure long-term effectiveness in pest control. It is recommended to spray using a "window approach" to avoid continuous exposure to generations of pests that have the same mode of action and to use insecticides not exceeding 50% of the plant's life cycle.

Usage Instructions:
• * Spraying of pesticides is done according to the growth stage of the plant.
• ** Spraying of pesticides is done according to the density of the plant and the level of infestation.
Mixing Guide:
It is recommended to use a PB bearing sprayer with a “hollow cone” nozzle. Fill the tank half full with clean water. Mix as recommended in the dosing table and mix with one liter of clean water in a separate container and stir until completely dissolved. Then add the mixture to the sprayer tank and add the remaining clean water required and stir. Do not use at a rate higher than recommended. Do not store the remaining mixture in the sprayer tank.
Spraying Guide:
Apply when infestation reaches action threshold level (ATL). For good control, spray thoroughly on both upper and lower leaf surfaces. Repeat spray at 7-day intervals, as needed. Do not apply more than 3 sprays per season for choy sam, cabbage, kailan and chilli; and 2 sprays for long beans. Ensure spraying is done at the first sign of infestation. If treatment needs to be repeated, alternate with insecticides from different groups with different modes of action.
