Minecto
Product overview
is a type of insecticide that contains two active ingredients, namely cyantraniliprole from the ‘diamide’ group and lufenuron from the ‘benzoylurea’ group. Lufenuron acts by stomach poisoning and has some contact activity that provides “ovicidal” control, preventing egg hatching and inhibiting chitin synthesis and disrupting cuticle formation at the larval stage. Cyantraniliprole acts by contact on the insect’s central nervous system and stomach poisoning by blocking the feeding system of insect pests.

Mixing Guide:
It is recommended to use a mist sprayer. Fill the tank half full with clean water. Mix thoroughly according to the recommendations set out in the dosing table and mix. Then add the remaining clean water required and stir. Do not use at a rate higher than recommended. Do not store the remaining mixture in the sprayer tank.
Spraying Instructions:
Apply when pest infestation reaches action threshold level (ATL). For good control, spray thoroughly on both upper and lower leaf surfaces. Repeat spray at 14-day intervals, when infestation persists. Do not apply more than 2 sprays per season. If treatment needs to be repeated, alternate with insecticides from different groups that have different modes of action.
Resistance Management:
Some pests have the potential to develop high levels of resistance to the product after repeated treatments. Product use should follow a strategy that has been determined for use and spray areas because the development of pest resistance is unpredictable. Syngenta encourages the use of “Stewardship” to ensure long-term effectiveness in pest control. To prevent the rapid development of insect resistance, avoid spraying insecticides continuously across all life cycles of the pest either using the same product or different products with the same mode of action. It contains Group 28 insecticide (cyantraniliprole from the ‘diamide’ group) and Group 15 insecticide (lufenuron from the ‘benzoylurea’ group).
