Safe and Responsible Use of Crop Protection Products
One of Syngenta's commitments in the Good Growth Plan 2.0 is to help people stay safe and healthy.
Syngenta educates people including our farmers about Stewardship.
While we have a global target of training 8 million farm workers a year, we train as many as possible on safe use of crop protection chemicals and other farm work risks. We increase the reach of our training efforts by working with local partners such as government agencies, NGOs and industry associations, as well as with retailers selling our products.
Stewardship of crop protection products is essential to ensure safety to farmers, non-target animals, environment, food produce and others. It is well recognized that pesticides can be used safely by taking appropriate precautions. We emphasize the Five Golden Rules that can help users understand the safety measures required.
